THE SOUND OF CONNECTION
Support Services
A robust support network addressing the emotional, practical, and informational needs of individuals facing hearing loss
Support Groups.
Our support groups offer a compassionate and safe space for those navigating hearing loss. Participants find comfort in knowing they're not alone, free from the isolation hearing loss can bring. These groups encourage open conversation and sharing of coping strategies, reducing distress and offering a supportive network for empowerment.
Hearing Other People’s Experiences.
If you're living with hearing loss, you don't have to face it alone. The HOPE Group is a safe, welcoming space to connect with others who understand. Whether you're seeking support, encouragement, or just someone who gets it — we’re here for you.
Hear Together.
WHAT: National Support Group
WHEN: Third Wednesday of every month
WHERE: Anywhere you can join us on Zoom!
Raising a child with hearing loss comes with challenges that not everyone understands — but you don’t have to navigate them alone.
The Hearing Loss Association of America (HLAA) hosts a support group for parents and caregivers of children with hearing loss. This safe, welcoming space is designed to:
Ask questions and share experiences
Explore communication strategies and technology
Navigate school systems and resources
Celebrate every milestone in your child’s journey
Meetings will be led by speech-language pathologist Kristin Bergholtz, audiologist Carly Alicea and HLAA Chapter Engagement Manager Melissa Kruse.
Companion Connection.
Our ‘Buddy Program’ pairs newly diagnosed individuals with those who have faced similar challenges, providing personalized guidance and support. Acting as sponsors, experienced individuals help navigate difficult times, share coping strategies, and facilitate a smooth adaptation process. This program reflects our commitment to creating a network of understanding and empowerment for those with hearing loss.
